Airbus CEO highlights China’s opening as “strong positive driver” of recovery

Speaking at the aerospace OEM’s annual general meeting earlier this week, Airbus CEO, Guillaume Faury, told shareholders air travel demand had returned faster than expected in the northern hemisphere summer and that global traffic is trending close to pre-COVID-19 levels. Read More » “In 2022, it was resoundingly confirmed people want to fly and they do so even at higher ticket prices,” Faury told shareholders in Amsterdam. “The ongoing reopening of China is proving to be a strong positive driver for air traffic as it progressively recovers,” he said. “All regions should now converge towards normalised levels or even higher levels than before COVID.”
