American Airlines bringing back seasonal Auckland-Los Angeles route

American Airlines (AA) will resume nonstop Auckland- Los Angeles from December 21 flying 787s. Read More » The oneworld alliance member's schedule for the trans-Pacific service will be daily during the southern hemisphere summer season and then drop back to three flights a week from mid-February to March 2024. The route will go into hiatus at the close of the first quarter of next year. “The response we had from the New Zealand public when we returned to their shores last year was overwhelmingly positive, so we are excited to be starting our seasonal LAX route later this year,” AA vice president of operations and commercial for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and the Asia Pacific, Kyle Mabry, said. AA will be competing with Air New Zealand, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines on the route. AA serves Auckland year-round from its Dallas/Fort Worth hub.
