Emirates Group and Emirates Airline chair and CEO, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, said the financial results for the company's 2022-2023 financial year represented a full recovery from the impact of the COVID pandemic. Read More » Emirates Airline booked a net profit of 10.6 billion dirham (US$2.9 billion) for the 12 months to March 31 compared with a net loss of 3.9 billion dirham in fiscal 2021-2022. “We anticipated the strong return in demand. As the last travel restrictions were lifted, triggering a tide of demand, we were ready to expand our operations quickly and safely to serve our customers,” Sheikh Ahmed said. “We go into 2023-2024 with a strong positive outlook and expect the Group to remain profitable. We will work hard to hit our targets while keeping a close watch on inflation, high fuel prices and political and economic uncertainty.”
