Hong Kong Airport passenger traffic improved 11.8% in April

Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) processed 3.1 million passengers through its terminals in April against the 2.8 million air travellers HKIA recorded in March. Traffic to and from Southeast Asia, China and Japan contributed the largest increases in the month. “On average in April, the airport handled more than 100,000 passengers and 700 flights per day, respectively, representing 50% and 60%, respectively, of pandemic levels,” AAHK executive director airport operations, Steven Yiu, said “we are excited air traffic continues to increase. We look forward to welcoming more travellers to Hong Kong and making use of our wide network for transiting to different destinations.”
