SIA Group passengers increased 65.8% against year-ago month
SIA Group (SIA) reported 2.8 million passengers flown on Singapore Airlines and Scoot in May, up from 1.7 million passengers in the same month in 2022. Read More » The results also were 4.9% higher than the 2.7 million passengers the two airlines transported in April. “In May 2023, SIA’s passenger traffic and load factors remained robust across all route regions, reflecting the strong demand for air travel,” SIA said in its latest traffic report. Against pre-pandemic operations, the air travellers transported were 88.4% of the 3 million passengers flown by the two airlines in the matching 31 days in 2019. Capacity, or available seat kilometres, was 83.9% of May four years ago.
