AirAsia group carriers to transfer to new Siem Reap-Angkor international airport

AirAsia’s airlines will move their operations to the new Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport (SAI) from Siem Reap Airport (SRA) on October 16. Read More » AirAsia Malaysia serves SRA from Kuala Lumpur and Thai AirAsia flies to the popular tourist destination from Bangkok Don Mueang. SRA is being closed down in favour of SAI, which is 55km from downtown Siem Reap. “The new airport will have convenient facilities to handle passenger and cargo traffic and provide an initial capacity of seven million passengers annually. Expansion is planned to reach throughput of 20 million passengers a year by 2050,” AirAsia said. Airline passengers will be notified of the change, AirAsia said.
