India's airlines report 12.4 million domestic air travellers for August

Airlines across India carried 12.4 million in-country passengers last month, up 30.6% from 10.1 million domestic passengers in August 2022. LCC IndiGo was India’s largest domestic airline by passengers flown with 7.9 million customers, or 63.3% of the domestic market, for the 31 days. Vistara was in second place at 1.22 million passengers (9.8% market share) followed by Air India at 1.21 million customers (also 9.8% market share).
