Air Vanuatu has faced significant disruption to its international flying after its sole 737-800 had to be taken out of service for unscheduled technical work. Read More » A significant number of flights were cancelled over the weekend, with schedules not expected to return to normal until the second half of the week. Air Vanuatu said it had contracted Nauru Airlines to operate a limited number of flights from Auckland, Brisbane, Nadi and Sydney to and from Port Vila. "We deeply regret to inform you that, despite our best efforts, we are faced with extended delays in returning to our regular international flight schedule," Air Vanuatu said in a post of social media. "The completion of necessary work has encountered unexpected challenges, making it impossible for us to provide an exact timeframe for resuming our regular schedules."
