China Airlines bolsters Kaohsiung hub

China Airlines (CAL) has added new flights from Kaohsiung to Singapore and Busan and increased frequency on existing routes flying from the southern Taiwan city. Read More » The SkyTeam alliance member said Kaohsiung-Singapore is to restart on December 9 and Kaohsiung-Busan next January. Both routes will be three times a week. CAL also will operate more flights from Kaohsiung to Osaka Kansai, Seoul Gimpo and Tokyo Narita. “China Airlines is progressively expanding its Kaohsiung services to meet demand from travellers in southern Taiwan,” CAL said. Other highlights of CAL's northern winter schedule include about 11 flights a week between Taipei Taoyuan and Sydney, up to 45 flights weekly to Tokyo and 45 flights a week to North America.
