Malaysia Airports Holdings (MAHB) has reported net profit of 94.8 million ringgit (US$20.3 million) for the three months to September 30 2023, compared with a net loss of 9 million ringgit in the same three months in 2022. Read More » Revenue rose 47.8% to 1.3 billion ringgit, the company said in a regulatory filing. MAHB said the growth in revenue was underpinned by higher passenger volumes resulting from airlines' route expansion, the resumption of flights to destinations in North Asia and the launch of new airlines operations, as well as the boost from the summer travel season and having public and school holidays during the quarter. "The outlook for MAHB continues to be resilient as it rides on ongoing passenger traffic recovery and improving commercial operations," MAHB said. "Nevertheless, MAHB remains steadfast in its cost and revenue optimisation measures to cushion the impact of inflation and continued economic uncertainties."
