UPS to build hub at Hong Kong International Airport

United Parcel Service (UPS) has signed an agreement with Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) to construct a 20,000 square metre hub at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). Read More » To be located near the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, the UPS investment is planned to open in 2028 and have a capacity to process 1 million tonnes of imports, exports and transhipments to and from Europe, the U.S. and Asia. “Hong Kong continues to be an engine of growth and a critical part of UPS’s global smart logistics network,” UPS North Asia District president, Daryl Tay, said. “This new hub, along with our existing operations at Shenzhen Bao An Airport, demonstrates our continued commitment to Asia.” AAHK CEO, Fred Lam, said: “UPS’s new facility is another important addition to our portfolio of cargo facilities that will strengthen our position as a leading global air cargo and e-commerce fulfilment hub.”
