India’s Mumbai Airport processed best ever international passenger traffic numbers in 2023

Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) handled 51.58 million passengers in 2023, the highest number in its history and a 110% recovery from pre-pandemic 2019. Last December, CSMIA recorded monthly traffic of 4.89 million passengers; 13% growth year-on-year. The leading airlines in passenger market share for the reported year were IndiGo, Vistara and Air India in the domestic segment, and IndiGo, Air India and Emirates Airline on international routes.
