Malaysia Airlines to operate twice daily A350-900s on Kuala Lumpur-Doha route

Malaysia Airlines is up gauging one of its two daily Kuala Lumpur-Doha services to the 300 seat A350-900 from the 290-seat A330-300 from April 1. Read More » The aircraft change means the oneworld alliance member's two flights a day between Kuala Lumpur and Doha will be flown with A350-900s configured with 40 business class seats with direct aisle access for every passenger, 32 extra leg room economy seats and 228 economy seats. “The strategic decision to deploy our A350s on both daily services [to Qatar] reflects our commitment to enhancing the passenger experience; aligning with one of our key customer priorities of ensuring optimal cabin comfort,” Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, CEO of Malaysia Airlines' parent, Malaysia Aviation Group, said. “With the route demonstrating robust performance, we are confident of its success and our role of facilitating connectivity to Doha and beyond with our unparalleled Malaysian hospitality.” Qatar Airways has its QR airline code on Malaysia Airlines flights between Kuala Lumpur and Doha in a codeshare between the two carriers that covers destinations in Africa, the Americas, Australia, Europe, Malaysia, the Middle East, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
