Singapore Airlines refreshes premium economy offering

Singapore Airlines (SIA) is adding more food and beverage options for passengers travelling in its premium economy cabin from the end of this month. Read More » The Star Alliance member said the refreshed service offering for the cabin between business and economy included a glass of Charles de Cazanove Brut Tradition NV champagne after takeoff and about 200 appetisers, main courses and desserts in its premium economy meal rotation. The Book the Cook service for premium economy, which allows passengers to pre-order their meal up to 24 hours before departure, will include up to 20 options. Meals will be served in stoneware on a linen-lined tray.The Star Alliance member has also updated the amenity kit provided to passengers on flights of seven hours or longer, which is manufactured by U.S.-based Out of the Woods. SIA senior vice president for customer experience, Yeoh Phee Teik, said the changes to the premium economy service offering reflected customer feedback, market research and the airline's “never stand still” approach. "Based on these insights, we have undertaken this comprehensive revamp of our premium economy class in-flight offerings, which we believe will delight our customers," Yeoh said. "The result reflects Singapore Airlines’ dedication to enhancing the premium economy class experience to a class of its own."
