Malaysia Airlines reaffirms A330-900 delivery timeline

Malaysia Airlines is on track to receive the first of 20 A330-900s it has ordered in the third quarter of calendar 2024. Read More » The oneworld alliance member has unveiled the Collins Aerospace Elevation seat for the 28-seat business class cabin of its A330-900s and the Recaro CL3810 product for the 269 economy seats. Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, CEO of Malaysia Airlines parent, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), said the new A330-900 cabin products set the benchmark for exciting things to come for the Malaysia flag carrier. In other Malaysia Airlines news, the oneworld alliance member is adding more destinations to its international network: daily Kuala Lumpur to Malé in the Maldives starting August 1, five times weekly Kuala Lumpur-Chiang Mai from August 15 and daily to Da Nang from Malaysia’s largest city from September 24. “Malaysia Airlines has had a chequered journey over the last decade, however through it all, our resilience has remained steadfast,” Captain Izham said. “Having stabilised our balance sheet and recording our strongest financial year performance in the past decade, we are in a stronger position to steer our focus to accelerating investments into our product and service delivery to elevate the customer experience.”
