Air India introduces baggage tracking

Passengers on Air India flights will soon be able to track their check-in luggage via the airline's mobile app and website. Read More » The Star Alliance member said end-to-end baggage tracking will provide the location, transit status and arrival details of luggage and also check-in, security clearance, aircraft loading, transfers and arrival. Baggage on Air India’s codeshare or interline carriers booking in the same ticket also can be tracked. “In our sustained efforts to enhance guest experience by embracing innovative digital technology, we now provide real-time baggage status to our guests,” Air India chief digital and technology officer, Satya Ramaswamy, said. “This key-customer centric initiative marks a significant milestone in our transformation journey.”
