China Eastern Airlines records network-wide demand increase in August

China Eastern Airlines (CEA) flew 13.8 million passengers last month, up 18.5% from 11.7 million air travellers carried a year ago. Read More » CEA’s international passengers soared 93.6%, to 1.7 million, its domestic network reported growth of 12%, to 11.8 million, and regional travellers were higher by 29.2% at 358,590. “The company grasped the opportunities of the summer travel market to thrust itself into the production and operation for the peak season,” CEA said. “For the international market, the company seized the opportunities of strong demand for outbound travel and accelerated restoration of flight capacity in the market.”
