United Airlines to expand to Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Adelaide and Manila

United Airlines (UA) intends to be the only U.S. airline to serve Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City. Read More » Additionally, it will start a daily 787-9 U.S.-Hong Kong schedule on October 26 pending government approval and commence three times a week San Francisco-Adelaide on December 11 also with 787-9s. Elsewhere in the region, the U.S. headquartered carrier is to start a second service between San Francisco and Manila with 777-300ERs. By year end, UA will be operating from the U.S. to 32 destinations in the Asia-Pacific. “At United, we are changing how people think about where they travel by offering the greatest access to see and explore the world whether it is for relaxation, adventure or business,” UA global network planning and alliances senior vice president, Patrick Quayle, said.
