Vietnam Airlines books “outstanding increase” in fiscal 2024 profits

The record performance mainly was due to a robust recovery on international routes. Revenue increased 17.2% compared with the previous year, the company said. The flag carrier flew 22.7 million passengers in the reported 12 months, 8% better than a year earlier and transported 314,700 tons of cargo - at 40% year-on-year growth. Overall load factor reached 80.6%. The airline aims to transport 25.4 million passengers and 336,300 tons of cargo this year and forecasts consolidated revenue will be VND 119.1 trillion for the 12 months.
