Jetstar Japan offers new 14kg carryon fare for domestic flights

Jetstar Japan has launched a new fare type for its domestic flights which includes 14kg of carryon baggage allowance and seat selection. Read More » The new fare, called "mini", is part of a broader revamp of its domestic fare types - both their names and what they offer - to better suit customer needs, Jetstar Japan CEO, Masakazu Tanaka, said. The new domestic fare types comprise the starter fare (base fare with 7kg carryon luggage), mini fare (14kg carryon and seat selection included), more fare (7kg carryon, 20kg checkin, seat selection and 500 yen (US$3.34) inflight voucher included) and flex plus fare (7kg, carryon, 20kg checkin, seat selection, 500 yen inflight voucher and no change fee included). They replace the previous starter, starter plus, starter flex and starter flex plus fare types. Jetstar Japan, jointly owned by Japan Airlines, Qantas Group and Tokyo Century Corporation, said there was no change to its international fare types.
