The number of passengers travelling at Hong Kong International (HKIA) rose 18% to 5.4 million in October, from 4.5 million in the same month a year earlier. Read More » The number of passenger flights was up 11% in the month. "Traffic to and from Southeast Asia, Chinese Mainland and Taiwan recorded the most significant growth in the month," Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) said. "Robust growth was sighted in transfer and transit passengers, recording a 50.2% year-on-year increase to 1.50 million passengers."
