Air Busan, Air Seoul and Jin Air

Read More » The proposed coming together of the three LCCs, requires shareholder approval and the green light from South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The trio said in a joint statement it was working to launch the integrated airline on March 17 2027. The merger of Air Busan, Air Seoul and Jin Air was expected to bring economies of scale and a wider domestic and international network for the benefit of customers. It also represented an important turning point for a new growth foundation for South Korea’s LCC industry. Air Busan and Air Seoul were previously part of Asiana Airlines, while Jin Air was part of the Korean Air (KAL) group of airlines. The three are now owned by the same parent company following the merger of Asiana and KAL.
