Singapore Airlines resumes nonstop to Tokyo Haneda

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has returned to nonstop Singapore-Tokyo Haneda and plans to restart Singapore-Taipei in April, updated schedules on the airline group’s website said today. Read More » The three a week Singapore-Haneda service, flown with A350-900s, commenced today. Singapore-Taipei is due to begin, serviced by787-10s, on April 2. The airline group’s passenger capacity is expected to reach about 25% of January 2020 levels by the end of May 2021. In January, the SIA Group’s capacity, measured in available seat kilometres, was at 20.4% of January 2020 levels.
"The SIA Group continues to grow its passenger capacity and resume selected services in a safe and calibrated manner," the company said. "The global roll-out of vaccines in many countries, including Singapore, provides hope an end may finally be in sight to the pandemic and its debilitating impact on the aviation industry. Capacity increases are underpinned by continued strong demand for air cargo around the world, with freight space remaining constrained compared to pre-Covid-19 levels," the group said.
