Sydney Airport records positive price bounce after infrastructure group takeover bid

Sydney Airport said in a regulatory filing to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) today it had received a conditional and non-binding takeover proposal from a consortium of infrastructure investors - IFM, QSuper and Global Infrastructure Management. Read More » The consortium's bid of A$8.25 (US$6.21) per stapled security valued Sydney Airport at about A$22.3 billion. "The indicative price is below Sydney Airport’s security price traded pre-pandemic," the airport operator said. Sydney Airport securities rose 34%, or A$1.97, to A$7.78 at the close of ASX trading today.
