Hong Kong and Singapore push back discussions on air travel bubble to end of August

Read More » The decision was a response to a recent surge in community cases in Singapore and the imposition of new restrictions in the country until August 18, Singapore's Ministry of Transport (MOT) said. "Both parties will remain in close contact and will monitor the public health situation in both places before taking stock in late August on the ATB," Singapore's MOT said. Singapore recorded 182 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday, the highest daily number since August 2020, following an outbreak at several karaoke outlets. The proposed ATB has been delayed three times since its proposed launch in November last year.
