Boeing conducts 737 MAX test flight in China: report

Boeing has completed a flight test of its 737 MAX in China, local media has reported, citing flight tracking software that showed 737 MAX 7 test aircraft, registration N7201S, took off from Shanghai Pudong Airport at about 0925 local time yesterday and returned about three hours later. Read More » The flight included a stop at Zhoushan Putuoshan Airport, where Boeing has a facility to paint aircraft and install interiors. It has been reported Boeing pilots and engineers flew to China last month to meet with regulators and plan simulator and flight testing. A number of jurisdictions have approved the 737 MAX's return to service after design changes were made to the type following two fatal crashes. The 737 MAX has been grounded in China since March 2019.
