Embraer reports US$739 million annual loss

Embraer has recorded a US$731.9 million net loss for the 12 months to December 31, a deterioration from a net loss of US$44.7 million in the same months in 2020. The company’s commercial aviation unit increased revenue by 18%, to US$1.3 billion, in 2021 due to increased E195-E2 deliveries and higher prices. The E2 family of E-jets represented about 44% of deliveries in 2021 compared with 25% of deliveries in 2020, the air framer said. Embraer expects to deliver between 60 and 70 commercial aircraft in 2022 compared with 48 in 2021. Revenue earned is forecast to range from US$4.5 billion to US$5 billion.
