Japan Airlines to reach 98% of normal domestic schedule by May

Japan Airlines (JAL) has signalled its domestic network will be close to normal levels by the start of May. Read More » The oneworld alliance member's latest schedule update shows JAL plans to operate 84% of its normal domestic schedule in the last week of March. The operation rate will increase to 87% for the month of April before reaching 98% in the first week of May 1. World Health Organisation (WHO) record that new COVID-19 cases in Japan have almost halved from a peak of 103,038 infections on February 4 to 52,002 infections last Monday. About 79% of all people in Japan have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and 31% have received a third dose, data from the office of Japan’s prime minister reports.
