Hong Kong International Airport's third runway "is ready for commencing operation", Airport Authority Hong Kong reports, adding it was continuing to work with the Civil Aviation Department on statutory procedures, drills and exercises for the commissioning of the runway.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) will double the size of its MHI Aero Engines facility to about 11,000 square metres with construction of a second plant. The existing Nagasaki production complex manufactures combustors for the PW1100G-JM engines used on the A320neo family of aircraft.
