Australian airline pricing investigated

Two Australian airlines face court proceedings in Australia following allegations by a consumer watchdog they have misled customers in the pricing of some of the fares they offer. Read More » The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) alleged in June the Qantas Group subsidiary, Jetstar, and Virgin Australia Holdings, had been “drip pricing” where fares were offered online that did not always include an additional booking and service fee. The airlines will have their cases heard separately next month, with the ACCC to seek corrective advertising, penalties and costs.
