Aboitiz InfraCapital has signed with GMR Airports International and Megawide Construction Corporation to acquire a 33.33% equity - minus one share - in Mactan Cebu International Airport in the Philippines. Under the deal, Megawide and GMR will reduce their holdings in the joint venture GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation, the airport’s operator, to accommodate the new shareholder. The agreement includes the issue of financial notes, maturing in October 2024, which will increase Aboitiz's ownership to 66.66% plus one share.
