Garuda Indonesia projects fleet of 96 aircraft by 2026

Garuda Indonesia will expand from 61 aircraft in December to 96 by year end 2026, a fleet update filed with Indonesia's IDX stock exchange has outlined. Read More » The SkyTeam alliance member said it is operating about 33 aircraft and added the Indonesian government's capital injection into the flag carrier, confirmed in June, will pay for more aircraft to return to active service. The fleet by year-end 2022 will be three A330-200s, 10 A330-300s, three A330-900s, eight 777-300ERs and 37 737-800s. Of the 35 aircraft to join Garuda in the next four years, 33 will be 737-800s and three will be A330-900s. An A330-200 will be withdrawn from operations. Garuda’s aircraft lease payments for its narrow-bodies will be calculated on a usage-by-the-hour basis until December 2022 and to year-end 2024 for wide-bodies.
