Japan’s Air Do and Solaseed Air complete merger

Read More » A signing ceremony marking the establishment of the company was held at Tokyo Haneda Airport earlier this week. Air Do is based in Hokkaido and operates 767-300s and 737-700s. Solaseed Air is headquartered in Miyazaki and flies a 737-800 fleet. ANA HOLDINGS INC., the parent company of All Nippon Airways, was a shareholder in Air Do and Solaseed Air. The chair of Regional Plus Wings Corp is Air Do president, Susumu Kusano, and Solaseed Air president, Kosuke Takahashi, is the company’s president. The two airlines will retain their existing brands and intend to reduce costs through joint maintenance and procurement efforts, among other efficiencies.
