Japan Airlines switches freighter airline to Spring Japan

Read More » The November 22 announcement is a change from the previous plans of JAL and YHD to launch domestic freighter operations. At the time, the airline said its LCC, Jetstar Japan, would operate the three A321ceoP2F freighters. “In light of the external environment, the JAL Group will optimize the allocation of management resources, strengthen the business foundation of its LCCs and accelerate group-wide preparations for the start of dedicated freighter flights in April 2024,” JAL said. Conversions of the aircraft will begin in March next year at Elbe Flugzeugwerke's Singapore facility. The freighters are slated to operate between Kitakyushu, Naha, New Chitose, Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita.
