Qantas returned to profit in interim 2022-2023

Qantas has announced a net profit of A$1 billion (US$685 million) for the six months to December 31, against net losses of A$456 million a year earlier. Read More » Revenue more than tripled, to A$9.9 billion, Qantas said in a regulatory filing. “It is the strength of demand that has driven such a strong result,” Qantas Group CEO, Alan Joyce, said. “Fares will keep trending down as more airlines unlock capacity, which relies on issues such as the supply chain for aircraft, labour availability and training pipelines.” The group also announced an order for nine more A220s.
